Watchmaking course in Zurich
Our Polyglott Events team has a special tip for your next company event, private party or get-together with friends. Or perhaps you have guests/customers from abroad whom you would like to introduce to Swiss chocolate, Swiss cheese and Swiss clockwork? Thanks to our personal contacts, we can offer you a tailor-made experience that participants will remember for a long time to come.
Have you never assembled a watch yourself? Now you can do just that. At a workshop in Zurich, you can take apart and reassemble a pocket watch movement under expert supervision. The watchmaker will explain what makes a mechanical watch and why it ticks. Then it's “hands on” - with watchmaker's clothing and a magnifying glass, you'll go straight to the open UNITAS pocket watch movement. This is 10 times larger than a conventional movement. The watchmaker disassembles the pocket watch movement and explains each part to you. Full concentration is required, as you will then reassemble it.
Families, friends or teams take the opportunity to enjoy an experience together. Not only does it bring the mechanical watch to life, but it is also useful as team building, as you will reassemble a complete movement together and when all the parts are back in the right place, the watch will tick at the end.
Interested? The course is available from Monday to Saturday, both during the day and in the evening. We look forward to your inquiry!
